Blackjack ABC’s – Part One
The basic concept of the game is to be given cards totaling up to twenty-one. Every gambler is given 2 cards. When a gambler is given a 9 or lower value card and an Ace they have been dealt a soft hand. When the player receives no Ace cards it is called as a hard hand. Once the cards have been handed to all players at the blackjack table, including the dealer, each black jack player is provided the chance to make one of six decisions:
Requesting another card (Hit): When a player says "hit me" the dealer will give them another card, if the adding of that card causes the total greater than twenty one the black jack player will have lost and be excluded from the game, if the card pushes the total to twenty-one the blackjack player will be the winner and if the total hasn't yet achieved twenty-one they're still in the game.
Keeping the hand you have been given: If a blackjack player is happy with the hand they'll stand. Once this has happened the croupier will show their cards and the blackjack player who has accumulated twenty one or the closet to twenty-one will acquire a win.
Doubling Down: A player might ask to double down which increases the wager by 100% they have laid. Once you have taken this procedure you can only be given one more card. The specifics of doubling down are normally specified by the blackjack table or betting house game rules so before wagering make sure you are familiar with the casino game rules. If you are competing at an internet betting house this is normally very easy.
