I have played millions of hands of vingt-et-un. I started working my way into the casinos when I was still underage. I have gambled on online 21, I have counted cards, and worked as part of a team for a little while. With all that said I have still spent an abundance of bankroll at blackjack. The casinos have made it basically impossible to defeat the house.

I still like the game and play on a regular basis. Over this time period I have wagered on a variation of 21 called "The Take it Leave it Method". You will not get loaded with this tactic or defeat the house, still you will have an abundance of fun. This tactic is built on the fact that vingt-et-un appears to be a game of streaks. When you're on fire your hot, and when you're not you are NOT!

I play basic strategy chemin de fer. When I do not win I bet the table minimum on the successive hand. If I do not win again I wager the table minimum on the next hand again etc. Once I hit I take the payout paid to me and I wager the original bet again. If I win this hand I then keep in play the winnings paid to me and now have double my original wager on the table. If I win again I take the winnings paid to me, and if I succeed the next hand I leave it for a total of four times my original wager. I continue wagering this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I lose I return the action back down to the original amount.

I am very disciplined and never back out. It gets very fun at times. If you succeed at a few hands in series your wagers go up very fast. Before you realize it you are wagering $100-200/ hand. I have had fantastic streaks a couple of times now. I departed a $5 table at the Palms a number of years ago with $750 after 35 minutes using this method! And a few days ago in Vegas I left a game with $1200!

You must understand that you can lose a lot faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more thrilling. And you will be aghast at the runs you notice wagering this way. Below is a guide of what you would bet if you continue winning at a five dollar game.

Bet five dollar
Take five dollar paid-out to you, leave the original 5 dollar bet

Wager five dollar
Leave 5 dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of $10

Wager 10 dollar
Take $10 paid to you, leave the initial 10 dollar wager

Bet $10
Leave ten dollar paid to you for a total bet of $20

Wager twenty dollar
Take twenty dollar paid-out to you, leave the original $20 bet

Bet twenty dollar
Leave 20 dollar paid to you for a total wager of $40

Wager 40 dollar
Take 40 dollar paid-out to you, leave the first 40 dollar wager

Wager $40
Leave $40 paid-out to you for a total wager of $80

Bet $80
Take $80 paid-out to you, leave the first 80 dollar bet

Wager eighty dollar
Leave eighty dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of 160 dollar

Wager 160 dollar
Take $160 paid to you, leave the first 160 dollar wager

If you left at this point you would be up 315 dollar !!

It is herculean to go on a streak this long, but it often happen. And when it does you can't deviate and drop your wager or the end result won't be the same.
